For Mother's Day

Missing You

By Donna Lee Rivers

Every breath I take I think of you.
I hold my breath to forget you.
As I open my eyes I look for you.
As I close my eyes I see you.

And every step I take I follow you.
As I taste my tears I feel you.
As I dream I am with you.
Don't cry for me I cry for you.

As I get older I am like a child.
As I see life I know death.
As I feel my breath I feel your touch.
I hold my breath to forget.
