Ted Olson on Fox News with Chris Wallace

Ted Olson – the conservative lawyer who successfully represented presidential candidate George W. Bush in Bush v. Gore — appeared on Fox News Sunday to discuss his role in overturning California’s Proposition 8.

Assailing Mr. Olson with a barrage of what are now familiar Republican and conservative arguments, Chris Wallace, the show’s host, though determined throughout the interview to catch Mr. Olson in a legal inconsistency, was unsuccessful.

Time and time again, the former United States Solicitor General under George W. Bush effortlessly disproved Wallace’s conjectures. By the end of the interview Wallace was forced to concede that his right-wing talking-points had failed miserably to put even a dent in Mr. Olson’s legal opinions, saying: “Mr. Olson, we want to thank you so much for joining us today. We’ll keep following your lawsuit. And I gotta say, after your appearance today, I don’t understand how you ever lost a case in the Supreme Court, sir.”
