President Obama: Memorial in Arizona

January 12, 2011 | 33:44

The President speaks at a memorial event for the victims of the tragic shooting in Arizona, “Together We Thrive: Tucson and America.”

Below, Sarah Palin responds to Gabriell Giffords shooting, claiming to be a victim of a "Blood Libel".

These two videos clearly illustrate why Barack Obama is President of the United States and Sarah Palin is merely a personality on a reality television show.

Whoa. I think the second clip missed the deeply felt point of this collective tragedy. We are grieving for the loss of life, pulling for those fighting for their lives. We are feeling for the families. We are marveling at selfless bravery. We are soul searching, trying to transform that grief into something that honors the victims and improves our relationships in all spheres. I don't know what all she was talking about. It didn't relate to the victims or their families and went off on some other tangent.

Palin has yet to apologize for a map clearly pointing to areas of the opposition which obviously features a sniper's POV through the crosshairs of a scope. I am not suggesting there is some direct relationship between that, and recent events in Tucson. I am saying it was a stupid sensational move on her part to use that image. She is pissed that people are making 'too much' of it, nevertheless I understand she has removed it from her site. However, she has yet to publicly say, "Sorry, that was poor judgement on my part, and in fact, plain stupid."
