The Cherokee-Crane Days Festival (Photos)

Sandhill Cranes attract tens of thousands of wildlife enthusiasts each year  to the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge in Meigs County. The following photos were taken on Saturday (January 15, 2011). Additional photos taken on Sunday (January 16, 2011) are forth coming.

    Really wonderful shots of such beautiful and graceful birds. And, is that a sparrow hawk in one shot? Or, some other kind...?

    Dan, I was wrong. It is a Northern Harrier.
