President Obama: "Now is the Season for Action."

President Obama's speech tonight to a joint session of Congress will go down in history as the turning point in the nation's debate on health care reform.

"I am not the first president to take up this cause, but I am determined to be the last."

"The time for bickering is over. The time for games has passed. Now is the season for action."

View the entire speech below:

The GOP's response was delivered by Rep. Charles Boustany from Louisiana. Boustany, a former cardiac surgeon, who's been sued for malpractice three times, offered nothing but the same old distortions, misrepresentations, and out right lies.

Declaring that "replacing your family's current health care with government-run health care is not the answer," Boustany went on to say that "it's time to start over on a common-sense, bipartisan plan focused on lowering the cost of health care while improving quality."

Blah, Blah, Blah . . .

In short, his response was embarrassing.
