Phil Griffin's explanation for suspending Keith Olbermann makes no sense. Griffin claims that Olbermann violated NBC News' policy requiring reporters to obtain approval for making political campaign donations that may "jeopardize his or her standing as an impartial journalist." But, when did Keith Olbermann become a news reporter or an "impartial journalist"? Olbermann is the host of an opinion program, not a a news reporter.
Griffin's motive for suspending Olbermann is suspect. I wonder – is it political or personal? Perhaps, the network should investigate Griffin's motivation. Without Olbermann and Rachel Maddow MSNBC would become irrelevant. From a production and business perspective, Olbermann's suspension doesn't make any sense, whatsoever.

I agree...to try to understand what any network is airing one must look behind the scene to the vested interests that control it! Murdoch...a prime example, as your next post suggests.
